Overview

The Vytronix SWASH450P Spot & Stain Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner is a compact and powerful cleaning appliance designed for indoor use on carpets, rugs, upholstery, and vehicle interiors. It is specifically engineered for spot and stain removal, providing a targeted cleaning solution for stubborn marks.

Function Description:

The SWASH450P operates by spraying a mixture of warm water and a suitable spot cleaning detergent onto the stained surface, agitating the stain with a brush, and then extracting the dirty water back into a separate tank. This process effectively lifts and removes dirt and stains, leaving surfaces cleaner and drier. It is important to note that this appliance is not a vacuum cleaner and should not be used to pick up dry dirt or debris. Surfaces should be vacuumed first before using the spot cleaner. The cleaner features a self-cleaning nozzle for maintaining the hose and a foam filter for efficient operation.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Voltage/Frequency: 220-240V~50/60Hz
  • Rated Power: 450W
  • Max Vacuity: ≥11 kPa
  • Capacity of Clean Water Tank: 1080ML
  • Capacity of Dirty Water Tank: 800ML
  • IP Rating: IPX4

Usage Features:

  • Portability: Equipped with a carry handle, making it easy to transport the cleaner to different areas.
  • Easy Tank Access: The clean water tank and dirty water tank are designed for easy removal and reinstallation. The clean water tank can be pulled out at a 30-degree angle from top to bottom.
  • Water Filling: The clean water tank has a slide-open water inlet filling seal for easy refilling. It should only be filled with warm water (maximum 40°C); hot or boiling water will damage the appliance and invalidate the warranty.
  • Detergent Use: Spot cleaning detergent can be mixed directly into the clean water tank. It is crucial to use detergents specifically designed for spot cleaners that do not foam, as carpet shampoo is unsuitable and can cause excessive foam.
  • Wash Tools: The appliance comes with a large wash tool and a small wash tool, which attach to the hose handle. A release button on the hose handle allows for easy attachment and detachment of these tools.
  • Operation: To operate, select the desired wash tool, plug in the power cord, and switch on the appliance using the ON/OFF button. Press the water release button to spray water and detergent onto the surface.
  • Stain Agitation: The wash tools include brushes to agitate stubborn stains. For spills, it is recommended to pick up excess liquid before applying water or solution.
  • Water Collection: To collect dirty water, release the spray button and tilt the wash tool forward so the brushes are not in contact with the surface, allowing the suction inlet to collect the dirty water on the backward stroke. Proper tilting is essential for effective water pick-up.
  • Dirty Water Tank Management: The dirty water tank has a "max" line indicator. The cleaner should be stopped, and the dirty water tank emptied when the water reaches this line. A float mechanism inside the dirty water tank prevents suction if the tank is full.
  • Hose Storage: The hose can be wrapped around the base of the appliance and secured with a hose hook for tidy storage. The wash tool and hose handle also fit into a retaining hook.
  • Safety Features: Includes warnings against using the appliance with wet hands, leaving it plugged in unattended, sucking up loose materials or flammable substances, and using it on hot coals or harmful fluids. It also advises against using it if the power cord, plug, or hose is damaged.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Cleaning: Both the clean water tank and dirty water tank should be cleaned after every use to prevent unpleasant smells and ensure proper functioning. They should be fully air-dried before storage.
  • Hose Self-Cleaning: To clean the hose, half-fill the clean water tank, insert the self-cleaning nozzle onto the handle, start the machine, and press the water spray button. This flushes out the hose. After this, reinstall the empty clean water tank, power on, and press the water-spray button again to remove any excess water from the tank.
  • Wash Tool Cleaning: The wash tool brush cover can be removed and rinsed under the tap for cleaning. It clicks back into place when reinstalled.
  • Dirty Water Tank Cleaning: The dirty water tank, its lid, water fill guide, and float should be thoroughly washed with warm water (under 40°C) and dried. No washing-up liquids or other chemicals should be used for cleaning these parts.
  • Foam Filter Cleaning: The small foam filter can be removed, rinsed under the tap, and must be fully dry before being replaced. Placing it near a radiator can help with drying.
  • Airway Maintenance: All airways should be kept clear of debris to maintain suction and water collection efficiency.
  • Blockage Removal: If blockages occur, follow the cleaning and maintenance advice to remove them. Do not use sharp objects, as this can damage the cleaner and invalidate the warranty.
  • Storage: Ensure tanks are empty, clean, and dry before storing, especially in cold areas, to prevent water residue from freezing.
  • General Cleaning: The exterior of the appliance can be wiped with a damp soft cloth to remove dirt and dust. The power cord should be cleaned with a dry cloth.
