Overview

The XB50 is a robotic cleaning device designed for use in agricultural environments, specifically pig houses. Its primary function is high-pressure washing, automating the cleaning process to improve efficiency and safety.

Function Description:

The XB50 robot is equipped with two wash arms, each featuring a high-pressure nozzle. These arms can be configured for either left, right, or both-side washing, allowing for flexible operation depending on the cleaning area. The robot is designed to move autonomously through the cleaning area, delivering high-pressure water to remove dirt and debris from surfaces, wheels, and fittings. It operates based on pre-programmed cleaning cycles, which can be selected via an HMI panel. The robot's design emphasizes ease of movement and setup, with features like a tow bar for manual transport and adjustable sidewheels.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Wash Arms: Two independent wash arms, each with a high-pressure nozzle.
  • Nozzle Position: Designed for downward nozzle orientation relative to the handle for effective cleaning.
  • High-Pressure Connection: Features a high-pressure coupling for floor connection pipe and hose connection. A pressure relief/ball valve is included.
  • Sensors: Equipped with end wall sensors to aid in navigation and operation.
  • Power: Battery-operated, with a dedicated battery charger and wall plug compartment.
  • Drive System: Features a drive motor belt tensioner.
  • Control Interface: HMI panel for program selection and operation.
  • Extension Arms: Optional extension arms (+80 cm) are available for increased reach, stored in brackets on the side of the robot when not in use.

Usage Features:

  • Manual Transportation: The robot can be easily moved manually using an included dolly that hooks onto a tow bar. Tilting the dolly lifts the front wheels, facilitating movement between buildings.
  • Arm Mounting: Wash arms are mounted by loosening two locking handles, pushing the arm into a square tube on top of the robot, and ensuring a sensor light indicates correct seating. The arms are then secured by tightening the handles.
  • High-Pressure Hose Connection: The floor connection pipe handle is released by turning it outwards and sliding it down to expose the high-pressure hose connection. The high-pressure hose is then connected and locked. The pipe handle is secured in the bottom position using a locking bracket.
  • System Priming: Before operation, the pressure relief valve should be opened for 5-10 seconds to ensure no air pockets in the system and free water flow. The high-pressure pump must be on during this process.
  • Robot Activation: The robot is turned on by twisting the ON/OFF button on the HMI panel.
  • Program Selection: Users can choose from a list of pre-defined cleaning programs (e.g., Farrowing section, Early Weaning section, Finisher section, with options for High, Medium, or Low intensity, and with/without extension arms) via the HMI panel.
  • Program Start/Stop/Pause: Programs are started by pressing a 'Play' button, which turns green, activating stop and pause functions.
  • Wash Arm Activation: The HMI panel allows users to select which wash arm(s) to activate (left, right, or both) by tapping on a robot pictogram.
  • Alternative Hose Bracket: An alternative bracket on each wash arm allows for placing the hose higher, useful when floor slats are in the same direction as the robot to prevent the hose from getting stuck in ribs.
  • Extension Arm Installation: Extension arms are lifted from their side brackets and slid into the robot's profile until seated at the bottom. Rubber bands fixing wash arm cables need to be loosened to accommodate the extended reach.
  • Charging: The charging cable is pulled from its compartment and plugged into a wall outlet. Charge lights (Green for connected, Yellow for status) indicate charging progress. A slow blinking yellow LED indicates 80% charge, while a solid yellow LED indicates 100% charge. The yellow LED turning off means the battery is fully charged. The AC power cable can be disconnected at any time to stop charging.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: The robot should be washed to remove all dirt from its surface, wheels, and fittings.
  • Storage: Store the robot in an ammonia-free environment.
  • Greasing: Grease the robot every 3 months or after 250 hours of operation.
  • Lubrication: Use spray lube on connection parts.
  • Maintenance Schedule: Follow the provided maintenance schedule.
