Function Description

The Smart Sensor primarily serves two key functions:

Optional Floor Temperature Sensor: When placed directly on a heated section of the floor, the sensor acts as an optional floor temperature sensor for the radiant floor heating system. This allows the ConnectPlus thermostat to monitor and control the floor temperature, optimizing comfort and energy efficiency.
Water Leakage Sensor: The device is equipped to detect water leaks, providing an early warning system for potential water damage. Upon detecting a leak, it triggers audible and visual alarms and transmits notifications to the ConnectPlus thermostat, allowing for prompt action.

Usage Features

Water Leakage Sensor Placement: For leak detection, the sensor should be placed on the floor in areas where there is a risk of water leakage, such as near water lines, washing machines, hot water tanks, or other appliances that use water. It must be within range of the ConnectPlus thermostat.
Wireless Pairing: The pairing process is straightforward. Users initiate pairing mode on the ConnectPlus thermostat (Menu > Settings > Paired Devices > Pair Device) and then press and hold the button on the Smart Sensor for 3 seconds.
Wake Function: A short button press on the Smart Sensor will wake the device.
Status Indicators: The sensor provides clear visual feedback through various LED blink patterns:
- Not Paired: Orange blink
- Pairing: Orange blink
- Paired: Green steady
- Water Leak: Red/Green blink & buzzer (indicating both visual and audible alarms)
- Sensor Error: Red steady
- Low Battery: Red blink
Pairing Mode Timeout: If pairing is not completed within 30 seconds, the pairing mode will time out.
Silence Buzzer: A short button press can silence the audible alarm triggered by a water leak.
