For optimal operation of the Cardea video doorbell, the
Strong WiFi Signal at Mounting Location
A stable WiFi connection is necessary for a smooth
operation of the video doorbell. You should therefore test
in advance whether there is an uninterrupted, strong WiFi
signal at the desired mounting location. We recommend
checking this with a smartphone. Make sure that your
smartphone stays connected to your WiFi throughout the
test process. The Cardea supports the 2.4 Ghz frequency.
In rare cases, the 5 Ghz frequency and WPA3 encryption
must be switched off during installation. They can be
switched on again afterwards.
Structural Circumstances at Mounting Location
When choosing the mounting location, please consider the
objects within the field of view, distance to the street, etc.
This should be checked in advance in order to determine
the optimal mounting location.
