9�4 Maintenance
Please note: Subsequent mentions of descriptions and position numbers refer to
Chapter 3. Product overview / product description on page 10.

If you detect any leaks or malfunction, replace the WEH
®
Product or send it to WEH
for maintenance. Stop using the product immediately.
The following maintenance work may be carried out by the operator:

Check the WEH
®
Product for leak tightness and correct functioning –ease of move-
ment, wear, contamination or damage.
Î
Check the sealing surface of the seals (Pos. 7 and Pos. 8) and the back-up washers.
If any tears, cracks or damage are visible on the front seal and at the back-up wash-
ers, replace it. Please refer to Chapter 9.4.1 Replacement of seals for non-threaded
applications on page 28.
9�4�1 Replacement of seals for non-threaded applications
General information
Î
Check the back-up washers for deformation, corrosion and wear even if you are only
replacing the seals.
Î
Replace the complete main seal set if the back-up washers are deformed, corroded
or worn.
Î
Always replace the retaining ring when replacing the main seal.
- The TW01 main seal set for non-threaded applications contains the front seal(s)
(Pos. 7), two back-up washers and a retaining ring.
