Maintenance
Î
Remove the retaining ring from the shaft.
Note: Be careful not to damage the recess on the shaft.

Slide the main seal set from the shaft.
Î
Install the new main seal set onto the shaft as described in the illustrations above.
Î
At the end of the shaft, mount the back-up washer with the groove.
Attention: The groove in the back-up washer “chambers” the retaining ring and
prevents it from disengaging from the recess when pilot pressure is applied to the
connector.
Î
Fit the new retaining ring in the recess provided in the shaft. The flat edge of the
retaining ring must face away from the back-up washer.
