Unpacking and Assembling:

The package includes the WeighSouth WS10 Indicator, Weighing Platform, Column, Wall Mount Bracket, Required parts bag, and Operation manual.

  1. Place the weighing platform on a level workplace.
  2. Remove the platter, then loosen the shipping screws (three full turns) at each corner of the platform.
  3. Attach the column to the bottom frame using the supplied hexagon head screws.
  4. Route the load cell cable through the column.
  5. Attach the indicator to the column with the thumb screw.
  6. Connect the load cell connector to the WS10 Indicator, ensuring correct port alignment.

Battery Instruction:

  • Charge the internal battery fully before first use to prevent low voltage from self-leakage.
  • A "battery" light indicates low battery.
  • The light turns yellow during charging and green when fully charged.
  • Remove the battery if not used for a long time to prevent leakage.

Basic Operation (Keys and LED Indicators):

  • LED Indicators:

    • 8: Weighing data
    • kg: Kilograms
    • lb: Pounds
    • Hold: Data hold
    • Gross: Gross weight
    • Net: Net weight
    • Tare: Tare
    • ->0<-: The weighing data is stable
    • ->0<-: Weight is zero
    • Hi: Overload
    • OK: Ok
    • Lo: Underload
    • .: Decimal
    • PCS: Show the counting status
    • TOTAL: Go to accumulation mode
  • Key Functions:

    • Print: Works with "ZERO," "TARE," and "ON/OFF" keys for various functions; also prints.
    • Zero: Zeros the weight within tolerance when the scale is stable and not displaying a negative value.
    • Tare: In G.W mode, gets tare weight; in N.W mode, clears tare and gets G.W.
    • Gross: In N.W mode, checks G.W for 3 seconds, then automatically returns to N.W.
    • Count: Initiates counting operation.
    • kg/lb: Converts between kg and lb.
    • Total: Accumulation function; works with "Print" to check accumulation results.
    • ON/OFF: Press for 2 seconds to power on or off.

Power On & Off:

Press the ON/OFF key for 2 seconds. Upon power-on, the indicator displays "000000-999999".

Zero Operation:

  • Initial Zero Setting: The indicator automatically shows zero if the weight on the scale is within the initial zero tolerance upon power-on.
  • Manual Zero Setting: When the scale is stable and not displaying a negative value, press the zero key to zero the weight within tolerance.

Tare Operation:

Press the TARE key to tare the gross weight. The indicator will show the Net weight, and the "Net" and "tared" status lights will be on. Press TARE again to clear the tare weight and display the gross weight.

Accumulation Operation:

In Zero mode, load weight until stable, then press total to enter accumulation mode. The "Total" light will turn on, displaying "n 001" followed by the loaded weight. Unload the weight, return to zero, and load the second weight. Press total again to display "n002" and the second loaded weight. This can be repeated up to 999 times.

Checking Accumulation:

Press and hold PRINT, then press TOTAL. The indicator will display "n**" (accumulating times) and then the total weight (8 digits, shown as two sets of 4 digits, e.g., "0012" and "34.56" for a total of "1234.56").

Exiting Accumulation Function:

When the indicator shows the last 4 digits of the total weight, press and hold total. The indicator will show "clrn" (don't clear total weight). Press PRINT to exit. To clear the total weight, press ZERO or TARE, "clrn" will change to "clry", then press PRINT to clear the total weight and exit accumulation mode.

If the weighing is stable and a printer is connected, pressing PRINT will print the weight. In tare mode, it prints with tare. Negative weights cannot be printed. Set C30 for time format.
