  Excessive oil mist in your WELCH-ILMVAC Water Pump can occur due to several reasons. Maintaining the oil level between the two lines on the oil window during operation is crucial. System leaks or degassing can also cause this issue, so locate and seal any vacuum leaks. Additionally, contaminants in the oil can contribute to the problem, so perform a forced oil flush if contamination is found. If you have an oil mist eliminator, check the element and replace it if it's saturated with oil. Consider installing an oil eliminator to coalesce the oil mist from the exhaust gases.

How to fix a noisy WELCH-ILMVAC DUOSEAL 1374 Water Pump?

  A noisy WELCH-ILMVAC Water Pump can stem from several causes. Check for loose bolts on the motor mount and tighten them. The motor may need replacement. If the pulley is bent, replace it. Tighten a loose belt by loosening the bolts on the motor and moving the motor away from the pump until the belt exhibits a 1/2 inch deflection. If the vanes are sticking, perform a forced oil flush.
