GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
4.5 Shut-down procedure
Danger
The following shut-down procedure must be adhered to prior to any
cleaning, maintenance or repair work (maintenance/repair work is only
to be undertaken by electricians).
1. Lower the slide to its initial position and remove the jar.
2. Disconnect the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH from the power supply:
• Set the main switch (power switch) to position "0".
• Secure the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH against inadvertent restart
by disconnecting the power cable from the socket.
2.1 For maintenance and repair work only:
• Check the device to ensure that it is fully de-energized.
• Cover or otherwise insulate adjacent parts that remain powered.
Danger
Non-compliance can result in serious or even fatal injury (risk to life due to
voltage flashover)! Capacitors might retain some dangerous residual voltage.
Before commencing work, check the capacitors and de-energize them slowly.
If a task cannot be performed when the device is shut down as
described above, contact your dealer or carry out the task with due
regard to the internal risk assessment.
