What to do if there is a grease fire on my Wesco Grill?
    • E
      Elizabeth WhiteAug 13, 2025
If you experience a grease fire or continuous excessive flames above the cooking surface of your Wesco Grill, immediately turn off the control knobs and the gas cylinder valve. Leave the lid open to allow the flames to die down. Once the grill has cooled, clean any food particles and excess grease from inside the firebox area, grease tray, and other surfaces. This is due to too much grease buildup in the burner area.

How to fix Wesco Grill burner that won't light with igniter?
    • R
      Richard WaltersAug 17, 2025
If the burner(s) on your Wesco Grill won't light using the igniter, there could be several reasons: * Ensure the valves are positioned inside the burner tubes. * Make sure the burner tubes are not obstructed by spider webs or other matter. * Verify the gas cylinder is not empty. * Turn off knobs and disconnect coupling nut from gas cylinder. Reconnect and retry. * Turn the coupling nut approximately one-half to three-quarters additional turn until solid stop. Tighten by hand only - do not use tools. These issues can arise from trying to light the wrong burner (refer to Section 7 for lighting instructions), the burner not being engaged with the control valve, an obstruction in the burner, no gas flow, or vapour lock at the coupling nut to the gas cylinder.

How to stop gas leaking from Wesco asador 86 Grill hose?
    • J
      James CharlesAug 20, 2025
If gas is leaking from a cracked, cut, or burned hose on your Wesco Grill, immediately turn off the gas at the gas cylinder or at the source on natural gas systems. If the hose is cracked or cut but not burned, simply replace the valve/hose/regulator. However, if the hose is burned, stop using the grill until a plumber or gas technician has investigated and corrected the problem. This issue is due to a damaged hose.

If you notice fire coming through the control panel of your Wesco Grill, immediately turn off the control knobs and gas cylinder valve. Leave the lid open to allow the flames to die down. After the fire is out and the grill is cold, remove the burner and inspect it for spider nests or rust. This issue is often caused by a fire in the burner tube section of the burner due to a blockage.

Why are the sparks weak on my Wesco Grill?
    • G
      Gary TuckerAug 28, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes or not at full strength on your Wesco Grill, check the following: 1. Ensure all output connections are securely connected at the module and electrodes. 2. Inspect for electrical arcing between output wires and the grill frame in a dark location. Replace wires if insulation is damaged. 3. Replace the battery with a new AAA-size alkaline battery if sparks are weak or at a slow rate. 4. Remove moisture from the electrodes with a paper towel if they are wet. 5. Replace cracked or broken electrodes if sparks are occurring at the crack. Possible causes include disconnected output connections, electrical arc between output wires and the grill frame, a weak battery, wet electrodes, or cracked/broken electrodes.

If gas is leaking from the gas cylinder of your Wesco Grill, it could be due to mechanical failure from rusting or mishandling, in which case you should replace the gas cylinder. Alternatively, it could be a failure of the cylinder valve from mishandling or mechanical failure; in this case, turn off the gas cylinder valve and return the gas cylinder to your gas supplier.
