Bacterial or algal growth Perform disinfectant shock treatment on spa. If the problem is visible and
does not disappear, empty the spa, clean it and refill it
Build-up of organic matter/layer of
dirt around spa
Build-up of oils and dirt Wipe the layer of dirt clean using a clean rag if required. Empty the spa. Use
a cleaning tool and detergent to remove the layer of dirt and refill the spa
Algal growth
High pH value Perform disinfectant shock treatment on spa and adjust the pH value.
Low disinfectant level Perform disinfectant shock treatment on spa and adjust the level of disin-
fectant
Eye irritation
Low pH value Adjust the pH value
Low disinfectant level Perform disinfectant shock treatment on spa and adjust the level of disin-
fectant
Skin irritation/rash
Unhygienic water Perform disinfectant shock treatment on spa and adjust the level of disin-
fectant
Free chlorine level in excess of 5 ppm Reduce the free chlorine level to below 5 ppm before using the spa
Stains
Incorrect alkalinity value and/or pH value too
low, or too much iron or copper in the water
Adjust the pH value and alkalinity. Use a metal inhibitor.
Deposits
High calcium content in the water. pH value
too high
Adjust the pH value. If the deposits have to be removed, empty the spa,
remove the deposits and balance the water
The spa is not working
No power Check the power source
The RCD has tripped Reset the RCD. Call for service is required
The heater’s temperature limiter has tripped Disconnect the power for at least 30 seconds to reset the heater’s tempera-
ture limiter.
Check that the filters are fitted if it does not reset. If the problem persists,
call for service.
The spa is not heating up. The jets
and lights are working (the Ready
and Power indicators are flashing)
Built-in pressure guard open Check the cassette filter. The built-in pressure switch is reset when the
water flow through the heater has been reset. Call for service if the switch
trips frequently.
The thermo switch on the circulation pump
has tripped
Check the cassette filter and pipe installation. Switch off the power to the
spa. Let the circulation pump cool down. The thermo switch on the circula-
tion pump is reset once the pump has cooled down and the power has been
switched on again. Call for service if the thermo switch on the circulation
pump trips frequently.
Weak or uneven jets Water level too low Fill with water

The light does not work The light’s cabling or fitting is wrong Replace the light fitting
Light broken Replace the light
Power indicator flashing (spa cannot
be started)
The heater’s overheating protection has
tripped
Disconnect the power for at least 30 seconds to reset the heater’s overheat-
ing protection. Check that the filters are not blocked. Call for service if the
fault persists.
The Ready indicator is flashing Temperature sensor triggered Switch off the power for at least 30 seconds if flashing. Call for service if the
flashing persists.
