  First, ensure the power cord is correctly plugged into the power outlet and that the outlet is switched ‘ON’. Try another appliance in the same outlet to rule out a blown fuse or tripped circuit. You can also try adjusting the temperature control to a slightly 'colder' setting. Note that it's normal for the freezer fan not to operate during the automatic defrost cycle, or shortly after the appliance is turned on.

  Several factors can cause your refrigerator's motor to run more than expected. Check if the doors are opened too frequently or left open for extended periods. Also, verify that the temperature controls aren't set too cold. Storing large quantities of warm food can also increase motor activity. During hot weather or in a warm room, the refrigerator will naturally run more. Expect increased operation immediately after installation or after the unit has been off for a while.
