Why is my Westinghouse WSE6070S so noisy?
    • R
      Roberto BrownAug 25, 2025
Modern Westinghouse refrigerators with increased storage capacity use high speed compressors, which can produce a seemingly high level of sound that is quite normal. Normal operational sounds include: * Occasional gurgling, similar to water boiling. * Air flow noise (air circulates because of a small fan). * A popping noise heard during automatic defrost. * A clicking noise heard just before the compressor starts. Other strange sounds may mean that you need to check if the cabinet is not level, the floor is uneven or weak, bottles are badly placed and rattling, there are vibrations, or the back of the refrigerator cabinet is touching the wall. It is normal for noise to seem louder just after the refrigerator starts operating.

Why does my Westinghouse WSE6070S Refrigerator leak water on the floor?
    • B
      brownjasmineAug 26, 2025
If water drips on the floor from your Westinghouse refrigerator, the defrost water tray (located at the back or underneath the cabinet) may not be properly positioned, or the drain tube may not be properly positioned to direct water into this tray. You may need to pull the refrigerator away from the wall to check the tray and tube.

Why does my Westinghouse WSE6070S motor run more than expected?
    • T
      Timothy BennettAug 27, 2025
Your Westinghouse refrigerator is designed with large capacities in both the refrigerator and freezer sections, so it’s normal for the motor to operate frequently. To minimize operation, check if the doors are opened too long or too often, if the controls are set too cold, or if large amounts of warm food have been recently stored. Also, the motor will run more if the room is very warm or just after installation.

      Ellen AguilarAug 27, 2025
Modern Westinghouse refrigerators with increased storage use high-speed compressors, which can create a seemingly high level of sound. Normal sounds include gurgling (like water boiling), airflow noise, popping during defrost, and clicking before the compressor starts. Other noises may indicate the cabinet isn't level, the floor is uneven, bottles are rattling, there are vibrations from nearby objects, or the back of the refrigerator is touching the wall. It's normal for noise to seem louder just after the refrigerator starts.

Why is there heavy frosting in my Westinghouse WSE6070S freezer?
    • B
      Barbara ZimmermanSep 13, 2025
If heavy frosting occurs in your Westinghouse refrigerator's freezer, make sure you fully close the freezer and fridge doors. If the doors are left partly open, a heavy frost will coat the inside of the freezer. If a frost develops, remove it and ensure the doors are properly closed to prevent recurrence.

What to do if my Westinghouse Refrigerator is not operating?
    • A
      Ashley SandersSep 15, 2025
If your Westinghouse refrigerator is not operating, check that the power cord is plugged into the power outlet properly and that the outlet is switched ‘ON’. Try running another appliance from the power outlet to see if the outlet is working. Also, try adjusting the temperature control to a slightly “colder” position. It is normal for the freezer fan NOT to operate during the automatic defrost cycle, or for a short time after the appliance is switched on.
