Drain Cleaning Machine
CutterInstallationandRemoval
Themachinecomeswith3cuttersinthetoolbox.Thecutterscanbe
exchangeddependingontheapplication.
1. Toinstallacutterontothecable,simplyslidethemalecoupling
endonthecableintothenotchofthefemalecouplingendonthe
cutter
fromthechamferedsideuntilaclickisheard.The
chamferingofthenotchbottomisforeasyconnection.
2. Toremoveacutterfromthecable,insertthekeytipsintothehole
onthecutter.Thenholdthecableendstillwithonehandand
slidethecutter
offwiththeotherhandalongthenotch.

CableConnectionandDisconnection
Withsimilaroperation,thecablecanbeextendedbyaddinganother
cable.Todothis,
1. RemovethecutterfromthecableusingStep2describedabove.
2. Slidethemalecouplingendontheexistingcableinto
thenotchof
thefemalecouplingendontheextensioncablefromthe
chamferedsideuntilaclickisheard(thesameasthecutter
installationshownabove).Thenusethesamemethodtoinstallthe
cutterontotheotherendoftheextensioncable(Note:Similaroperationisappliedwhen

replacingawornordamagedcableorcutterwithanewone).

BeltRemoval/Installation
Toremovethedrum,motor,ortoreplaceawornbelt,thebeltneeds
toberemovedandinstalled.Todothis,
1. UnscrewtheBeltGuardRetainingScrewandtakeofftheBelt
Guard.
2.
Pushthemotordownwithbodyweighttosuppressthespring
beneaththemotorandshortenthedistancefromthepulleytothedrum.
3. Slidethebelttowardthebackofthedrumuntilitisloose.Thentakeitofffromthepulley
andtakeitoutaround
thedrum.
4. Reversetheproceduretoreplacebelt.

DrumRemovalandInstallation
1. RemoveoptionalCableFeederifavailable.
2. Removethebeltguardbyfollowingtheaboveprocedure.
3. Reachbehindthedrumandlocatethedrum‐retaininglatch.
Pullthelatchtoreleasethedrumshaft,thenpull
thedrum
forwardofftheframe.
4. Toinstallthedrum,reversetheabovestep.

CableInstallationandRemovalfromDrum
Toinstallcableintothedrum,simplypushthecableintothedrumandmakesurethecablewinds
inthedruminthecounter‐clockwisedirection.Toremove
acablefromthedrum,simplypullthe
cableoutofthedrumuntiltheendcomesoutofthedrum.

Thecableshouldlayinthedruminthecounter‐clockwisedirection.



