5. Allow the anterior end of the upper frame
of the articulator to rest on the horizontal
crossbar of the facebow. (Figure 21)
6. Securely tighten the thumbscrew on top of
the facebow.
7. Because the guidance of this instrument
is part of the upper frame and the facebow
is, in effect, one piece with this fram, the
facebow bitefork is in xed relation to the
upper frame. (Figure 22)
8. Position the upper model into the bite
registration and mount the maxillary
model. (Figure 23)
