Usage Features

General Operation

The appliance is designed for intuitive operation with a simple control panel. It uses 5-gallon water bottles, eliminating the need for frequent refilling.

Coffee Brewing

  • Temperature: Brews coffee at 201°F, the temperature recommended for full-bodied flavor, which is 9°F hotter than many other single-cup coffee makers.
  • Speed: Optimally heated water is kept ready, allowing for faster brewing with fully developed flavors.
  • Capacity: The oversized heater can make many cups in a row without waiting time between brews.
  • Cup Sizes: Selectable cup sizes include 4 oz, 6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz, and 12 oz. Micro adjustments to the dispensed coffee amount can be made via the control panel to allow for cream.
  • Capsule Compatibility: Designed for single-serve coffee capsules. Using the same capsule twice or improperly sized capsules can clog the piercing needle.
  • Altitude Adjustment: The brewing temperature can be adjusted for altitudes above 5000 feet to prevent water from exceeding the boiling point and spilling.
  • Water Filling Amount Adjustment: The amount of water dispensed for coffee can be adjusted to personal preference.
  • Standby Mode: If the coffee brewer is not used within 2 hours, the temperature drops to 172°F, and control panel lights turn off. The "PRE-HEAT" button must be pressed again to resume brewing.

Water Dispensing

  • Cold Water: Produces 1.6 gallons of extremely cold water per hour, achieving the lowest average water temperature in the industry, thanks to a thick ice ring cooling system.
  • Hot Water: Provides hot water for other uses.
  • Toddler Resistant Latch: Included for hot water control.
  • Energy Saving: Features energy-saving switches for both hot and cold water.
  • LED Night Light: For visibility in low light conditions.

Installation and Setup

  • Placement: Must be placed upright on a hard, flat, and level surface in a cool, shaded location, at least 4 inches from the wall and with 4 inches of clearance on all sides for airflow.
  • Leveling: Two adjustable feet at the back of the cooler help prevent vibration.
  • Initial Water Filling: After placing a full water bottle and closing the front door, the cooler automatically pumps water. Water should be dispensed from the hot water faucet to ensure the hot tank is filled before turning on the hot water switch.
  • Electrical Connection: Requires a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not use adapters or extension cords.

Maintenance Features

General Cleaning

  • Frequency: As needed, or every 6 months under normal conditions.
  • Procedure: Unplug the power cord, clean cabinet surfaces with a soft cloth and warm soapy water, wipe dust from the back, remove and wash the drip tray assembly, and wipe stainless steel parts with unscented baby oil.
  • Materials: Do NOT use abrasive materials or chemical cleaners.

Self-Cleaning System (Ozone)

  • Function: Automatically dispenses a precise dose of ozone every 4 hours to eliminate bacterial biofilm buildup in the cold water tank, cold tank cover, cold water faucet, 5-gallon bottle, and internal waterways. The hot water tank and its waterways are self-cleaned by 201°F hot water.
  • Ozone Emission: Controlled to be below 50 ppb, meeting OSHA, USA, and Canadian requirements.
  • Limitations: This feature does NOT descale, filter, or clean dirty or tap water. It does not sanitize external components like water spouts, which require periodic manual cleaning.

Descaling Your Water Cooler

  • Purpose: To remove calcium deposits that can build up over time, especially when using spring or mineralized water, affecting performance and flow rate. Distilled or RO water does not require descaling.
  • Frequency: Every 6 months to one year for mineral/filtered water, or more often if white deposits are observed.
  • Descaling Solutions: Cooking vinegar is recommended. Proportions vary based on frequency:
    • Every 3 months: 2 cups (500 ml) white vinegar with 2.5 liters hot water.
    • Every 6 months: 6 cups (1500 ml) white vinegar with 2 liters hot water.
    • Every year: 12 cups (3000 ml) white vinegar with 1 liter hot water.
    • Less than once a year: Undiluted white vinegar.
  • Procedure: Turn off hot & cold switches, unplug, drain water from the rear plug, fill a bucket/bottle with the vinegar solution, attach the probe, place in cooler, wait 1 hour, drain solution, rinse with tap water by filling and dispensing, then drain again. Repeat rinsing if vinegar smell persists.

Coffee Capsule Piercing Needle Maintenance

  • Prevention: Do not use the same coffee capsules twice or improperly sized capsules to prevent clogging.
  • Cleaning: If the needle is clogged, use a paperclip to clean out coffee grounds. The lower needle has a U-shaped channel, not a tube, and a sealed end. The upper needle has 3 openings around a central spike.
  • Rinsing: Periodically run the coffee maker empty (without a capsule) to flush loose grounds.

Air Filter Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Remove the air filter and wash it in soapy water during sanitizing.

Troubleshooting

The manual provides guidance for common issues such as water leaks, non-responsive buttons, noisy pumps, incorrect water dosage, and problems with hot or cold water dispensing. For persistent issues, contact customer service at 1-855-594-4755.
