Warning: This unit is equipped with an internal combustion engine and should not be used on or near any unimproved forest-covered,
brush-covered or grass-covered land unless the engine’s exhaust system is equipped with a spark arrester meeting applicable local or state
laws (if any). If a spark arrester is used, it should be maintained in effective working order by the operator. In the State of California the
above is required by law (Section 4442 of the California Public Resources Code). Other states may have similar laws. Federal laws apply
on federal lands. A spark arrester for the muffler is available through your nearest engine authorized service dealer or contact the service

General Operation

Slope Gauge

Tractor Set-Up

Attaching the Battery Cables

Connect the positive and negative battery cables securely to the battery terminals.

Gas and Oil Fill-Up

Check engine oil level and fill gasoline tank. Use caution with gasoline.

Remove Shipping Brace

Locate and remove the shipping brace before operating the mower for safety.

Operation

Know the Controls

Familiarize yourself with the location and purpose of all tractor controls and adjustments.

Throttle Control Lever

Controls engine speed. FAST position needed for deck engagement.

Choke Control

Aids in starting the engine by closing the choke plate. Integrated with throttle lever.

Brake Pedal

Used for sudden stops and setting the parking brake. Must be depressed for starting.

Parking Brake Button

Engages parking brake when depressed with brake pedal. Essential for safety.

Drive Pedal

Controls tractor movement and ground speed. Depress to move forward or reverse.

PTO (Blade Engage) Knob

Engages power to cutting deck or attachments. Must be disengaged for starting or reverse.

Ignition Switch

Starts the engine. Rotate clockwise to START, release to ON.

Headlights

Turn on headlights by rotating the ignition key to the ON/LIGHTS position.

Systems Indicator Monitor / Hour Meter

Displays indicator lights for brake, PTO, oil, and battery status. Includes hour meter.

Shift Lever

Controls direction of movement (FORWARD, NEUTRAL, REVERSE). Stop before shifting.

Cruise Control Button

Engages cruise control for maintaining forward speed. Not available at fastest speed.

Seat Adjustment Lever

Adjust seat forward or backward for operator comfort and proper reach.

Deck Lift Lever

Adjusts the cutting deck height using notches. Deck wheels need adjustment too.

Cargo Net

Located on dash panel for storing personal items during operation.

Cup Holder

Located on the fender to the left of the seat for holding beverages.

Safety Interlock Switches

Prevents engine starting unless brake is engaged and PTO is disengaged. Shuts off engine if operator leaves seat.

Starting the Engine
