Function Description:
The WHITE SM2000 is a household sewing machine designed for various sewing tasks, including basic stitching, decorative stitches, and mending. It is capable of performing straight stitches, zigzag stitches, buttonholes, and other specialized stitches. The machine is equipped with a foot controller for speed control and a light bulb for illumination of the sewing area.

- Needle Type: Always use needle type 15x1/705.
- Light Bulb: Uses a 110V 15W bulb.
- Polarized Plug: The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
- Bobbin Type: Uses Class 15 bobbins.
- Stitch Length Dial: Adjustable for desired stitch length. For longer stitches, turn to the right; for shorter stitches, turn to the left. Normal setting is between 2 and 3.

- Stitch Length Adjustment: The stitch length can be adjusted using the stitch length dial.
- Turning a Square Corner: Instructions are provided for turning corners by stopping the machine with the needle in the fabric, lifting the presser foot, and turning the fabric.

- Safety Precaution: Always disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance on the machine.
- Cleaning Steps:
- Remove the presser foot and needle.
- Remove the needle plate.
- Brush off dust and lint from the feed dog with a cleaning brush.
- Turn latches outward to access the shuttle area.
- Remove the shuttle race cover and shuttle.
- Clean the shuttle race and shuttle with a cleaning brush and soft cloth.
- Oiling: Use oil specifically manufactured for sewing machines. Apply one drop of oil on the shuttle where friction occurs.
- Cleaning Shuttle Case: If thread gets caught between the shuttle and shuttle case, causing the machine to run erratically or stop, the shuttle case needs to be cleaned. This involves lifting the presser foot, removing the bobbin case, pushing latches outward, and cleaning the shuttle and shuttle case.
- Changing Light Bulb: Unplug the machine, loosen the screw to remove the face cover, unscrew the old bulb counterclockwise, and install a new 110V 15W bulb by screwing it clockwise.
The manual also includes a troubleshooting chart to help identify and resolve common issues such as breaking lower thread, skipping stitches, irregular stitches, fabric not feeding correctly, noisy machine, fabric puckers, and breaking needle.
