  Your Whynter Elite Air Conditioner might not be turning on due to several reasons: * There may be a power failure or outage – restore the power supply. * A switch, fuse, or breaker may have been tripped – flip the switch, change the fuse, or turn the breaker back on. Also, consider moving other appliances to a different circuit if too many are drawing power. * The power supply voltage could be too low – move the unit to a circuit with the correct voltage. * The power cord might be damaged – call for service; only authorized personnel should replace it. * The L.C.D.I. power plug may have tripped – press the Reset button on the plug. * The internal water reservoir might be full – drain the water. * There might be a loose internal connection – contact Whynter for service.

  If the air coming out of your Whynter Elite Air Conditioner isn't very cold or the airflow is weak: * Clean the air filters if they are dirty or obstructed. * Ensure that the air intake and exhaust are not blocked. Keep at least 20" of clearance from the air intake and minimize the length of the exhaust hose. * Make sure the unit is set to Cooling mode, not DEHUMIDIFY or FAN mode. * Increase the fan speed if it's set too low.

  If your Whynter Elite Air Conditioner turns on, but the compressor doesn't, consider these potential causes: * The room temperature might be outside the unit's operational range (64°F to 90°F). * Cooling mode may not be activated – press the Mode Control button until the Cooling indicator light appears. * The compressor might be experiencing a time delay – allow it 3 minutes to turn on after selecting Cooling mode. * The set temperature could be too high – lower the temperature, ideally to at least 5°F below the ambient temperature. * The internal water reservoir might be full, with a warning light displayed – drain the water manually or run the unit in fan-only mode to exhaust the water.
