Q3: It is always alarming when I tested anyone, either showing “HI” or “Lo”?
Is it a product quality problem?
Answer: This kind of problem is generally caused by the wrong offset setting
of the thermometer in previous uses. You can reset it to default or any
desired value, please refer to the temperature offset setting instructions in
the operating manual.
Q4: When I turn the thermometer on, of which I’m quite sure the batteries
are full, but I noticed the “low battery ( )” icon was displayed, does
this mean the battery is low or the thermometer is malfunctioning?
Answer: When power on, all icons on the LCD will be displayed, which is a
self-check state. Under power-on circumstances, it does not indicate low
power. Only if the low power icon is lit during measurement, it indicates the
low power alarm.
Q5: Why do I get a different reading with each measurement?
Answer: The product is able to perform multiple scans in a row, however,
multiple scans in rapid succession is likely to compromise the accuracy, due
to
1) The distance might change.
2) The positions aimed might be different.
3) The temperature of the forehead skin might have changed.
In order to get an accurate measurement, it is therefore suggested, wait 30
seconds before next measurement.
Q6: Sometimes I see it displays “ErH” or “ErL” on the screen and cannot
measure, does this mean the device is malfunctioning?
Answer: Usually under body temperature mode, the message “ErH”/”ErL” is
displayed when the ambient temperature is too high or too low. The infrared
thermometer has a working temperature range for ambient environment,
which is 16 ℃ ～ 35 ℃ , outside this range, the accuracy of measurements
cannot be guaranteed. In the event you see this message, please relocate to
an environment that is within the above mentioned working temperature
range, let the device settle for 10 minutes, then measure again, if the
message remains, remove batteries and wait for 30 seconds, then insert
batteries again, the device should be able to function normally.
Q7: When I report the body temperature readings to a doctor, should I tell
him/her that it is obtained by a non contact infrared thermometer?
Answer: Yes, please don’t forget to do so. The product is for family use and
should not be deemed as a replacement of clinical body temperature
measurements, it is important to let the doctor have updated body
temperature readings via independent clinical measures.
Q8: Under the outbreak of respiratory diseases, can this product keep me
safe from being infected?
Answer: The non-contact nature of the product might be a comforting
feature in this case but it is most important that the user take all necessary
measures to protect him/herself. The product does not have any disinfection
function and its outer casing should be cleaned by 70% alcohol wetted
cotton cloth every time after use.

1. Temperature offset value setting: can be used to modify the setting
parameters to adapt to different skin color race, or different characteristics
of the human body ;
