Personnel which installs and operates or maintains this device must have read and
understood these instructions.
WARNING
• Electric installations, placing devices into operation and maintenance tasks may only
be carried out by qualified electricians with relevant training in accident prevention
and while adhering to applicable regulations.
• Protective measures and mechanisms must correspond to applicable regulations.
• Damaged products may neither be installed nor operated.
• Connect or disconnect only when de-energized!
• Before performing work on the power bus or the connected components, disconnect
the cable and components from the mains.
1 Function description
The power bus systems podis® CON 7G4, podis® CON 5G6, podis® CON 5G16 permit
decentralized power distribution in large machines and plants. The installation of this
system is quick and easy and the operation is reliable and safe.
For connection to terminal blocks in control cabinets, feed-in boxes, or to attach cable
end caps, the ends of the tray cable must be dismantled.

3 Termination of the tray cable
1. Push the counterpiece with gasket over
the dismantled tray cable.
For easier handling, push the lamella in
the counter piece outwards.
2. Route the stripped end of the tray cable
into the end cap.
The openings in the end cap are coded
in accordance with the cable outline.
3. Tighten both clamping screws.
