BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before using for the first time, the hotplates should be cleaned with a moist
cloth.
We recommend lightly greasing the hotplates when using the appliance for
the first time. This will not be necessary on subsequent occasions.
Plugging the iron in
Check that the voltage is correct. Ensure that the full length of the cord has
been unwound from the cord storage reservoir.
Hotplates
The hotplates have a Teflon coating and should only be greased with
margarine prior to the appliance being used for the first time.
Filling with pastry batter
Ladle the batter in with a teaspoon and then close the lid. If you have used
too much batter, it will be collected by the non-drip channel. Use the pastry
stick to make fine cone shaped pastrycakes. The pastrycakes must be rolled
around the stick while they are still warm. You can also shape them into
bowls using the bottom of a cup and serve something tasty in them.
