Redcat51 EAF Asiair Bracket Installation Guide

Step 1: Remove Saddle Screws

Remove the two screws from the telescope saddle using a 2.5mm hex key and store them safely.

Step 2: Mount EAF in Bracket

Place the Electronic Auto Focuser (EAF) into the bracket, aligning holes and securing with EAF screws.

Step 3: Remove Dovetail Screws

Use a 2.5mm hex key to remove the two screws holding the dovetail, keeping them for later use.

Step 4: Secure ASIAIR Bracket

Attach the ASIAIR Pro or Plus to the bracket using the screws removed in Step 3 and a 2.5mm hex key.

Step 5: Remove Telescope Dew Shield

Carefully spin the dew shield counter-clockwise to remove it from the telescope.

Step 6: Install Focuser Gear

Slide the large gear over the telescope front and down the focuser, ensuring it sits on rubber pieces.

Step 7: Mount Assembled Adapter

Place the assembled adapter onto the telescope and secure it with M4x8 screws and a 2mm hex key.

Step 8: Optional Saddle Mounting

Optionally mount the saddle onto the bracket using M4x14 screws and a 2.5mm hex key.

Step 9: Align Focuser Gears

Align the EAF shaft with the small gear, ensuring the notch fits, then mate the large gear with the small gear.

Step 10: Re-attach Dew Shield

Screw the dew shield back onto the front of the telescope to complete the setup.

Optional: Adjust Focus Ring Fitment

Tighten the silver grub screw with a 1.5mm hex key if the focus ring is too loose; contact for updates if no grub screw.
