- Reclining the Care Cliner:
- Three standard positions (seated upright, TV, recline) plus infinite positioning through Trendelenburg.
- Footrest automatically elevates with recline.
- Attendant can recline the chair by pushing down on the back.
- Trendelenburg and infinite positioning require the attendant to squeeze the Release Handle.
- Warnings against forcing the back down without using the handle and keeping children away from mechanisms.
- DO NOT lift or change chair position by using the legrest.
- DO NOT push or pull footrest, stand or sit on footrest, or place hands/feet under seat/legrest/footrest.
- Lock/Unlock Casters:
- Total-Lock casters (front and right-rear) lock both wheel and swivel.
- Directional caster (left rear) locks only swivel for steering.
- Positioning Side Tables: Tables lock automatically when raised and pivot down when lowered. Warnings against leaning or sitting on side tables.
- Raise/Lower Drop-Arms (Models 655/657 only): Requires lifting the Drop-Arm Release Handle to lower. Firmly pull up to raise and ensure they are locked before transporting.
- Side Panel Removal/Replacement (Models 653/654 only): Thumbscrews allow removal for cleaning and maintenance.
- Drop-Arm Vinyl Panel (Models 655/657 only): Secured with hook & loop fastener for easy access and cleaning.
- Swing-Arm Operation (Models 694/695 only): Depress red latch handle to unlock, push arm toward latch to close.

Maintenance Features:
- Adjusting Gas Spring: Instructions for adjusting the gas spring's "release and engagement points" for Trendelenburg or deep recline positions by rotating the Operator. Requires loosening a hex nut and re-tightening after adjustment.
- Adjusting Recliner Mechanisms: Instructions for adjusting tension on the footrest/legrest action and recline action using hex nuts on the L&R recline mechanisms.

- General Care & Cleaning:
- Clean with mild soap & water solution on a damp cloth.

- 1:4 bleach to water solution can be used for disinfecting, followed by wiping with a damp cloth (water only).

- Lubrication:
- Regularly lubricate pivot points on the Recline Mechanism with a silicone-based lubricant.
- Once per week, position the chair back into full recline, squeeze the release handle, and go to full Trendelenburg position to lubricate the gas cylinder.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically recheck the tightness of all screws, bolts, and nuts.
- Removal from Service: Immediately remove any recliner with broken mechanisms, torn upholstery, or other visible damage.
- Authorized Parts: Use only Winco authorized replacement parts.
