Function Description

The Woodbrass XP2 functions as a portable digital piano with 88 hammer-action keys, providing a realistic playing experience with triple sensor technology and ivory-feel touch. It features a DSP Dream 5708 sound processor, offering 12 internal sounds and a maximum polyphony of 189 notes. The piano includes various effects such as 5 types of reverb and delay (Hall, Church, Plate, Stage, Delay) with adjustable depth, 4 levels of chorus depth, and 5 levels of tone brightness.

Key functionalities include:

  • Dual Piano Mode: Allows two people to play simultaneously by splitting the keyboard, with an adjustable split point and separate octave shifting and sound selection for each section.
  • Sound Layering: Enables the combination of two sounds with adjustable mix balance.
  • Transpose Function: Shifts the pitch of the entire keyboard up or down by semitone intervals (-6 to +5 semitones) for easier playing in different keys or tuning with other instruments.

Usage Features

The XP2 is designed for ease of use with a clear control panel.

  • Power On/Off: A dedicated power switch.
  • Volume Control: Separate buttons for increasing and decreasing volume.
  • Sound Selection: A "Piano" button combined with specific keys allows for quick selection of the 12 internal sounds.
  • Secondary Functions: Many keys have secondary functions, accessed by holding down a specific button (e.g., "Piano," "Play/Stop," "Metronome," "Function") and pressing the corresponding key. These include adjusting effects, metronome settings, transposition, and dual piano mode parameters.
  • Music Stand: An integrated music stand can be installed for holding sheet music.
