This document is an assembly guide for the "Woodbridge Single Bed" from Dreams, available in two slat types: Solid Slats and Sprung Slats.
Function Description
The Woodbridge Single Bed is a piece of furniture designed for sleeping. It consists of a headboard, footboard, and side rails that support either solid wooden slats or a sprung metal slat frame, which in turn supports a mattress. The bed is intended for use by one person.

- Head-End (A): 1 piece
- Foot-End (B): 1 piece
- Side Rails (C): 2 pieces
Fittings (for both Solid and Sprung Slat versions, unless specified):
- F (M6x45mm): 6 pieces (bolts for securing slats)
- G (M6x20mm): 6 pieces (sleeve nuts for securing slats)
- H (Flat washer): 6 pieces (washers for securing slats)
- I (Allen key 4mm): 2 pieces (tool for assembly)
Assembly Time:
- Approximately 30 minutes for assembly.
Personnel Required:
- Two people are recommended for assembly.
Slat Types:
- Solid Slats: These are individual wooden slats that are fixed onto slat holders on the side rails.
- Sprung Slats: These consist of a metal slat frame with curved wooden slats that provide a more flexible and responsive support for the mattress. The sprung slat frame is designed to fit into the bed frame and is secured to the side rails.
Usage Features
Assembly Process:
The assembly process is straightforward and requires basic tools, primarily the provided Allen key.
-
Frame Assembly (Page 5):
- Attach the side rails (C) to the head-end (A) and foot-end (B).
- Tighten the bolts using the Allen key (I). This step forms the main bed frame.
-
Slat Assembly (Solid Slats - Page 6):
- Identify the solid wooden slat system.
- Place the fixed wooden slats onto the slat holders on the side rails.
- Fix the slats at both ends and the middle using bolts (F), sleeve nuts (G), and washers (H).
- Tighten with the Allen key (I).
-
Slat Assembly (Sprung Slats - Page 7):
- Identify the sprung slat system (metal frame with curved slats).
- Turn the metal slat frame upside down and carefully lower it into the bed frame, ensuring the metal frame sits on the guides located on the side rails (C).
- Position the slat frame so that the holes in the side rail (C) align.
- Secure the frame to the side rails (C) by threading bolt (F) through the holes in the frame and the side rails (C).
- Finally, tighten the bolt (F) into the sleeve nut (G) from the top of the slat frame with the Allen key (I).
Safety and Care (Page 2):
- General Safety: Keep children and animals away from the assembly area. Small components are a choking hazard. Plastic bags and wrapping materials should be kept away from children and animals to prevent suffocation.
- Top Tip: It is recommended to build the new bed in the room where it will be located to prevent any risk of damage from moving it.
Maintenance Features
Care and Maintenance (Page 8):
-
Cleaning:
- Clean the bed with a warm damp cloth.
- Avoid using abrasive chemicals or bleach as these can damage the product.
-
Checking and Moving:
- Periodically check that screws or fixtures haven't become loose.
- When moving the bed, lift it where possible. Avoid dragging or pushing it, as this can cause damage to the flooring.
