Why is the oil heating up in my Woods Excavators?

Oil heating in your Woods Excavators can occur due to several reasons: a low oil supply, which requires you to fill the reservoir; contaminated oil, in which case you should drain the reservoir, change the filter, and refill with clean oil; incorrect setting of the relief valve, so set it to the correct pressure; or the pump operating too fast, meaning you should not exceed the recommended RPM PTO speed.
