Function Description:
The KG-S88G operates on GMRS frequencies, allowing users to transmit at high power (up to 50 watts, though the radio itself has a maximum output of 5 watts) and utilize repeaters for extended range. It supports both simplex channels and GMRS repeater channels. The radio is pre-configured with 30 GMRS channels, including 15 high-powered simplex channels, 8 low-powered simplex channels, and 8 repeater channels (RPT-15 through RPT-22).
The radio offers two primary operating modes: Channel Mode and Frequency Mode (VFO mode). In Channel Mode, users can select from saved channels, including the pre-configured GMRS channels and up to 400 custom memory channels. Frequency Mode allows direct tuning to specific frequencies within the supported band.
