What to do if WPA CO 8000 has no reading in battery mode?
    • S
      Steve JimenezJul 31, 2025
If your WPA Measuring Instruments shows no reading in battery mode, ensure the battery has sufficient power. The battery symbol at the bottom right corner of the display indicates the charge level. Three bars mean it's fully charged. If you see one or no bars, recharge the battery by connecting the instrument to the electric power supply using the adaptor/recharge unit. A full recharge takes 12 hours.

How to fix 'REF' display on WPA Measuring Instruments when 'T' is pressed?
    • R
      Roberto LoweAug 5, 2025
If 'REF' is displayed when you press 'T' on your WPA Measuring Instruments, it indicates that the baseline hasn't been set. To resolve this, replace the sample with a blank or reference sample and press 'T'. You can then test the samples.

Why OD600 value is different on WPA Measuring Instruments?
    • A
      Adrian MartinAug 10, 2025
If the OD600 value on your WPA Measuring Instruments differs from another instrument in the lab, remember that optical geometry is very important. The greater the distance from the sample to the detector, the greater the effect of the scattered light. A simple conversion factor can be calculated from the OD600 of your existing instrument compared to that of the cell density meter. For example, instead of harvesting at 0.4 OD, you may have to do it at 0.8 OD.

What to do if WPA CO 8000 shows a flashing absorbance reading of 2.00 Abs?
    • B
      Brandon MillerAug 15, 2025
If your WPA Measuring Instruments displays a flashing absorbance reading of 2.00 Abs, the sample needs to be diluted.

Why does WPA CO 8000 Measuring Instruments show a negative reading?
    • D
      David GarrettAug 20, 2025
A negative reading on your WPA Measuring Instruments can occur if the Reference and Test cuvettes are mixed up. In normal measurements, the test sample should have a positive Absorbance compared to the Reference.

How to resolve flashing -0.30 Abs reading on WPA Measuring Instruments?
    • M
      Marvin MitchellAug 26, 2025
If your WPA Measuring Instruments shows a flashing absorbance reading of – 0.30 Abs, the sample needs to be diluted.
