Overview

The WyreStorm MXV Full Product Range Quickstart Guide describes a series of 4K HDR 4:4:4 60Hz HDBaseT™ Matrix Switchers with Toslink Zone Audio De-Embed Outputs. These devices are designed to manage and distribute high-quality audio and video signals across multiple displays, supporting advanced features like HDR, HDBaseT, and various control methods.

Function Description:

The MXV matrix switchers serve as central hubs for audio and video distribution in professional and home theater environments. They accept multiple HDMI inputs and distribute them to various outputs, including HDBaseT and direct HDMI. The HDBaseT outputs are designed to extend signals over long distances using category cable, while the direct HDMI outputs provide local connectivity. A key feature is the Toslink zone audio de-embed outputs, which allow for the extraction of audio signals for independent distribution to audio systems. The devices support 4K HDR 4:4:4 60Hz video, ensuring high-fidelity image quality.

The matrix switchers also integrate various control mechanisms, including IR, RS-232, and Ethernet (Web UI), enabling seamless integration with third-party control systems. Power over HDBaseT (PoH) is supported on some models, simplifying installation by powering compatible HDBaseT receivers directly from the matrix. The inclusion of EDID management helps optimize compatibility between sources and displays, while CEC support allows for simplified control of connected devices.
