This document describes the XANLITE GARDEN PRS1400D, a solar-powered outdoor light.
Function Description:
The PRS1400D is a solar-powered garden light designed to provide illumination in outdoor spaces. It features a solar panel that charges a built-in battery during the day, allowing the light to operate at night. The device incorporates a motion sensor with a 120-degree detection angle and a range of up to 6 meters, enabling it to activate automatically when movement is detected. The light offers multiple operating modes, including different brightness levels and durations, as well as a continuous low-light mode. It is designed for easy installation, with all necessary mounting hardware included.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Model: PRS1400D
- Lumen Output: Up to 1600lm
- IP Rating: IP54 (Protected against limited dust infiltration and liquid splashes). Some models may have IP65 (Fully protected against dust and water jets), IP67 (Fully dust and waterproof to 1 meter for 30 minutes), or IP68 (Fully protected against dust and submersible under specified conditions beyond 1 meter for 1 hour). The specific IP rating for this model is IP54.
- Battery: 1x 18650 Li-ion, 3.7V 2600mAh
- Light Color: Cool White
- Motion Sensor: 120° detection angle, up to 6m range
- Mounting: Wall-mounted with screws and wall plugs (x2 each)
- Dimensions: The mounting bracket has a length of 60mm.
Usage Features:
The PRS1400D offers several operating modes, which can be selected via a button on the device:
- Mode A: Motion sensor activated. When motion is detected, the light turns on at 1600lm for 30 seconds. This mode is suitable for areas requiring bright, temporary illumination.
- Mode B: Motion sensor activated. When motion is detected, the light turns on at 800lm for 30 seconds. This mode offers a slightly lower brightness than Mode A, potentially conserving battery life.
- Mode C: Continuous low light. The light stays on at 160lm for 10 hours, regardless of motion. This mode is ideal for ambient lighting throughout the night.
- Mode D: Continuous low light. The light stays on at 800lm for 2 hours, regardless of motion. This mode provides brighter continuous light for a shorter duration.
- Mode E: Continuous low light. The light stays on at 1600lm for 1 hour, regardless of motion. This mode offers the brightest continuous light for the shortest duration.
- Mode F (6-OFF): Turns the light off completely.
Charging and Operation:
- Solar Charging: The device charges its battery using the integrated solar panel. For optimal performance, the solar panel needs to be exposed to direct sunlight for a full day. Artificial light will not charge the device.
- Panel Orientation: The solar panel should be oriented without any obstacles (trees, roofs, etc.) blocking sunlight.
- Light Sensitivity: If intense light sources are nearby at night, the solar light may not turn on or may produce very weak light.
- Battery Life: The battery life is limited. If the device is not used for extended periods, the battery capacity will gradually decrease. To prevent this, ensure the battery is fully charged before storing the device for a long time.
- Temperature Range: The product's lifespan may be reduced if the ambient temperature is higher than 45°C or lower than -10°C.
- Charging Time: Under optimal sunlight conditions, the device can charge for approximately 12 hours (full sun) or 16 hours (cloudy).
Installation:
- Mounting Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the desired surface using two screws and wall plugs. Ensure the bracket is securely fastened. The distance between the two mounting holes is 60mm.
- Attach Light Fixture: Slide the light fixture onto the mounting bracket.
- Secure Light Fixture: Tighten the screws on the side of the light fixture to secure it to the bracket.
- Adjust Angle: Adjust the angle of the solar panel and the light head to optimize sun exposure and illumination direction.
- Select Mode: Choose the desired operating mode (Mode A, B, C, D, E, or OFF) using the button on the device.
Maintenance Features:
- Solar Panel Cleaning: The solar panel must be kept clean to optimize its charging efficiency. If it is dusty, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Snow on the surface can prevent charging.
- Battery Replacement: The battery is considered a wear part and is guaranteed for 1 month. Prolonged discharge (more than 1 month) can severely affect battery lifespan. To replace the battery, unscrew the cover on the side of the light fixture to access the battery compartment. Use a screwdriver for this operation.
- Recycling: Within the EU, this product should not be disposed of with household waste. It contains valuable recyclable materials and a battery that must be returned to a Batribox collection point at the end of its lifecycle. Dispose of old appliances using appropriate collection systems or return them to the place of purchase for recycling.
Warranty:
The product is guaranteed for 2 years. The battery is guaranteed for 1 month. YANTEC company declines all responsibility in the event of non-compliant use with the instructions of this manual.
