The water resistance of the equipment is not constant and may change over time. Activities that can affect the water resistance of
equipment include:
- Impact on hard surfaces or other impacts
- Contact with soap or soapy water (such as bathing or showering)
- Contact with perfumes, solvents, cleaning products, acids, acidic foods, insect repellents, cosmetics, sunscreens, oils or hair dyes
- Exposure of equipment in fast moving water (e.g. water skiing, jumping into water,...)
- Wearing the device in areas where there is steam or in a sauna
