Draw Weight Adjustments
Changing Draw Weight
On the top side of one of the bottom limbs is a sticker that has the string and cable lengths as well as the bow's
capable peak draw weight. The peak weight is achieved by the limb bolts being completely tightened down. The peak
draw weight can be turned down 18-20 pounds with each bow model. With an Allen wrench loosen the top and
bottom limb bolts. One full turn reduces weight by approximately 2 pounds. Never back off more the 9 turns. Make
sure the adjustment to the top limb bolt and bottom limb bolt is identical. See Figure 4.

Safety & Maintenance
• All models of Xpedition Archery bows should only be put in bow presses that compress by limb tip contact only.

• Periodically apply a light coating of bowstring wax to the string and cables.
• Never attempt to shoot your bow without a nock set.

Overview

This document is the owner's manual for the Xpedition Archery Xperience bow, providing essential information for its setup, use, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The Xpedition Archery Xperience bow is a high-performance archery device designed for recreational and competitive shooting. It features a cam system that allows for multiple draw length adjustments, enabling archers to customize the bow to their specific needs for optimal performance. The bow is built with a focus on precision and durability, aiming to provide a consistent and enjoyable shooting experience. Its design incorporates features that facilitate tuning and maintenance, ensuring the bow remains in top condition over its lifetime.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Draw Length Adjustments: The Xperience cams utilize rotating modules to achieve various draw lengths. The manual provides a "Draw Length Mod Chart" which correlates mod positions (numbered 1 to 17) with specific draw lengths ranging from 19 inches to 28 inches. For instance, Mod Position 1 corresponds to a 28-inch draw length, while Mod Position 17 corresponds to a 19-inch draw length. Both the top and bottom modules must be set to the same corresponding number for a desired draw length.
  • Draw Weight Adjustment: The bow's peak draw weight is achieved when the limb bolts are fully tightened. The draw weight can be reduced by 18-20 pounds from its peak with each bow model. Loosening the top and bottom limb bolts with an Allen wrench allows for draw weight reduction; one full turn reduces weight by approximately 2 pounds. It is crucial not to back off the limb bolts more than 9 turns and to ensure identical adjustments to both top and bottom limb bolts. The manual explicitly states not to reduce the draw weight more than 20 pounds below the specified peak weight.
  • Tuning Reference Holes: Each Xperience cam has a tuning reference hole. For the top cam, the cable should be positioned within 2 9/16" to 2 5/8" of the reference hole. For the bottom cam, the cable should be within 2 3/16" to 2 1/4" of the reference hole. A tolerance of plus or minus 3 twists in each cable and string is allowed for optimizing tuning.
  • String and Cable Specifications: The manual emphasizes the importance of following Xpedition's string and cable specifications when replacing them to ensure ease of tuning and proper function. The bow comes with factory-installed speed nocks, and changing or removing them will reduce performance.
  • Nock/D-loop Setting: The nock or D-loop should be set so that the arrow rests at a 90-degree angle with the string. The center shot should be set at 7/8".
  • Serial Number Location: The bow's serial number is found on the riser, on the opposite side of the model decal. This serial number, along with the original owner's full name, is required for warranty service.

Usage Features:

  • Customization: The rotating modules for draw length adjustment allow archers to precisely tailor the bow to their physical dimensions and shooting style, enhancing comfort and accuracy.
  • Cable Stop Adjustment: After setting the modules to the desired draw length, the cable stop on the bottom cam module must be set and retightened. This involves loosening the Allen screw on the cable stop, sliding it to contact the cable, and then retightening the screw. Slight adjustments may be made to achieve the desired feel.
  • Warranty Registration: To activate the limited lifetime warranty, the bow must be registered online at www.xpeditionarchery.com within 30 days of purchase by either an authorized retailer or the original purchaser.
  • Retailer Support: The manual strongly advises consulting an authorized Xpedition Archery retailer for proper bow fitting, repairs, and warranty claims. Retailers can assist with the repair process and contact Xpedition Archery on the owner's behalf if necessary. Service work accompanying warranty fulfillment may incur charges from the retailer.

Maintenance Features:

  • Limited Lifetime Warranty: The bow comes with a limited lifetime warranty to the original registered owner, covering defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original owner. This warranty includes all bow parts except the string, cables, decals, rubber string suppressors, rubber dampeners, cable guard, speed nocks, and cosmetic appearance (chips, dings, scratches) caused by normal use and wear. Xpedition Archery reserves the right to make substitutions on warranty coverage.
  • Authorized Bow Press Use: All Xpedition Archery bows should only be put in bow presses that compress by limb tip contact only, to prevent damage.
  • Storage Guidelines: Avoid storing the bow in environments subject to high heat. Always ensure the bow is dry when storing to prevent damage.
  • Regular Inspection: Before shooting, inspect arrows for defects or damages such as cracks in the shaft or nock. Periodically inspect the bow for any signs of wear or damage.
  • String and Cable Waxing: Periodically apply a light coating of bowstring wax to the string and cables to maintain their condition and extend their lifespan.
  • Mod Screw Maintenance: Anytime a mod screw is removed, a dab of blue Loctite should be applied for reinstallation to ensure it remains secure.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Never dry fire the bow, as this will cause damage and make it unsafe to shoot.
    • Never attempt to shoot the bow without a nock set.
    • Never draw the bow without draw stops installed properly.
    • Ensure arrows are free of defects before shooting.

The manual also includes a "Bow Purchasing Record" section for the owner to fill in details such as name, address, bow model and year, serial number, purchase location, date, sales associate, price, draw length, draw weight, string length, and cable lengths. This record serves as a personal reference for the owner. The manufacturer's contact information and website are provided for further assistance.
