DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Motor Encoder Locked ( Encoder feedback not
matching motor speed) - (Pump Node 5)
Pump functions disabled, lower allowed.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
4. Check continuity and proper wiring:
a. Is there continuity between Pin 2 of encoder connector and Pin 13 of pump controller?
b. Is there continuity between Pin 3 of encoder connector and Pin 14 of pump controller?
YES- Proceed to step 5.
NO- Ensuring wiring is labeled per schematic diagram and check wire crimps in step 3.
5. Verify Encoder Power (with multimeter):
a. Disconnect encoder connector (CPS81/83).
b. Check for ~12V Volts across encoder connector Pin 1 and 4.
YES- Reconnect connector and proceed to step 6.
NO- Proceed to step 5c.
c. Disconnect CPS 85 and check for ~12V across traction controller Pins 5 and 25
YES- Proceed to step 6.
NO- Controller likely failed - contact Service Engineering.
6. Verify encoder signals:
a. Does encoder Pin 2, transition from 12V to 0V with pump motion?
b. Does encoder Pin 3, transition from 12V to 0V with pump motion?
YES- Proceed to step 6c.
NO- Encoder in motor is at fault, replace encoder / motor.
c. Does the signals on Pins 13 and 14 of traction controller transition from 12V to 0V with pump mo-
tion?
YES- Proceed to Step 8.
NO- Proceed to Step 7.
