nodes - (RH Node 3, LH Node 4)
If LH or RH Traction, Inverse braking, traction disa-
bled.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
1. Re-key the vehicle, is the communication code still present?
YES- Proceed to step 2.
NO- Problem is intermittent or noise related, proceed to step 3.
2. Are there any other codes related to indicated node?
YES- Troubleshoot other codes before communication codes. (NOTE: Multiple communication co-
des indicate a system CANbus failure. (See CANbus Test.)
NO- Proceed to step 3.
3. Verify connections on suspect/reported node:
a. Are there any bent / broken pins, poor seating, or wiring damage?
YES- Replace any bent / broken pins, with new properly crimped connections.
NO- Proceed to step 4.
4. Verify proper KEY-IN voltage to traction drive:
a. Ensure B+ Voltage exists between Pins 7 / 10 (Node 3) and the B− terminal of the ACE0 controller
with KEY-SW ON. Also ensure B+ Voltage exists between Pins 10 (Node 4) and the B− terminal of
the ACE0 controller with KEY-SW ON.
YES- Proceed to step 5.
NO- Proceed to step 4b.
b. Inspect GND (NEG-2 BLK) wire for continuity between B− Battery connector and ACE0 Traction
Drive B− terminal.
YES- Proceed to step 4c.
NO- Repair NEG-2 wire / crimp terminal / check bolt torque.
c. Verify power wire continuity from Pin 7/10 to KEY-SW IGN terminal.
d. Verify KEY-SW continuity between BAT & IGN terminals when switched to "ON."
YES- Check for blown FU1 fuse.
NO- Replace faulty KEY-SW Inspect GND (NEG-2 BLK) wire, and POS (RED 010) for
proper connections.
