DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
One of the on/off valve coil is detected as
shorted or open circuit - (RH Node 3)
Specific coil function disabled, determined by
operational test.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
1. Identify which function is no longer operational.
2. Press the selected function button, while monitoring button status in display Diagnostic Menu or PC Serv-
ice tool. Does the button status change?
YES- Proceed to step 3.
NO- Check joystick fault code history. Button or joystick likely at fault.
3. Disconnect the connector of coil in question. Does the error message go away? (NOTE: This may pro-
duce coil open fault.)
YES- Coil may be shorted, proceed to step 4 to test.
NO- Proceed to step 5.
4. Check coil resistance:
a. Measure across the coil of the valve in question. is resistance between 10 and 100 Ohms?
YES- Coil not at fault, proceed to step 5.
NO- Coil shown to be open or shorted internally, replace coil.
