DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Wrong Battery voltage connected to truck, or out
of range - (RH Node 5)
Truck disabled.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
1. Verify a proper battery (36V Nominal) is connected to the truck.
a. Does the battery label indicate 36 volts DC nominal, and the proper A/hr rating?
b. Has the battery charger been disconnected from the truck?
YES- Proceed to Step 2
NO- Disconnect charger or replace with correct battery.
2. Measure Actual Battery Voltage:
a. Is the actual battery voltage between 28V and 38V DC?
YES- Proceed to step 3.
NO- Disconnect and charge the battery if (< 28V) or allow battery to settle charging if
(>38V).
3. Check High Current power cables:
a. Check for B+ Voltage at input POS on the line contactor, with a ground reference to the B− Stud
Terminal.
YES- Proceed to step 5.
NO- Proceed to step 3b.
b. Check continuity from B− battery connector to B− stud.
c. Check continuity from B+ battery connector to POS Line contactor lead.
YES- Tighten loose bolts / connections, repeat step 3a.
NO- Repair wiring / crimp terminal / stud as necessary to regain continuity.
