DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Joystick detected fault in Traction
Axis - (Joystick Node 22)
Traction Regen brake to stop, traction disabled.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
5. Check physical connector and pins for damage or loose connections.
a. Are there any bent / broken pins, poor seating, or wiring damage?
YES- Replace any bent / broken pins, with new properly crimped connections.
NO- Proceed to step 6 (only if not intermittent), problem undeterminable if intermittent.
6. Verify power to unit:
a. Check for 24V power between Pin 1 and 4 on joystick connector:
YES- Proceed to step 7.
NO- Proceed to step 6b.
b. Check continuity from Lift Controller Pin 2 (Wire 284) to Joystick Pin 1.
c. Check continuity from GND Stud (Wire 113) to Joystick Pin 4.
YES- Proceed to step 6d.
NO- Repair faulty wire.
d. Verify Pump Controller operational, and 24V is present on controller Pin 2.
YES- Unit has power, but not operating, replace handle.
NO- Pump ACE controller faulty, replace pump controller.
7. Verify CAN Communication:
a. Check continuity from Pin 2 (Wire 900) to Diagnostic connector Pin B.
b. Check continuity from Pin 2 (Wire 900) to RH Traction Pin 27.
c. Check continuity from Pin 3 (Wire 901) to Diagnostic connector Pin A.
d. Check continuity from Pin 3 (Wire 901) to RH Traction Pin 28
YES- No wiring fault found, handle must be at fault, replace handle.
NO- Determine location and repair fault in associated wire.
