Node 3
DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Damaged on/off coil driver, unable to activate
coil - (RH Node 3)
Side Shift, Aux Outputs, and Load Hold Valve do not
operate. Lift disabled.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
4. Check coil wiring:
• Pin 11 (SV3A) – Side Shift Right (Wire 804)
• Pin 33 (SV3B) – Side Shift Left (Wire 805)
• Pin 34 (SV1) – Load Check Valve (Wire 811A)
• Pin 8 (to Pin 2 CPS300) - SPED OUT 1 (Wire 720)
• Pin 9 (to Pin 1 CPS300) - SPED OUT 2 (Wire 721)
a. Measure continuity from Pin __ (above) to corresponding coil connector. Does each wire resistance
measure continuity?
YES- Proceed to step 4b.
NO- Repair wire, pin, or crimp (replace harness only if not repairable).
b. Disconnect coil connectors and check for shorted wiring accross connector and verifying resistance
> 470k Ohms.
YES- No wiring fault found, proceed to step 5.
NO- Determine location of short in wiring, separate and repair.
5. Verify controller drive fault:
a. Measure voltage across coil while activating coil function, is DC measured voltage > 14V?
YES- Controller not at fault, replace coil.
NO- Controller faulted, contact Service Engineering.
