DESCRIPTION BEHAVIOR
Proportional lowering valve coil circuit open -
(RH Node 3)
Unable to lower forks.
Probable Causes and Test Procedures
1. Is only lower functionality disabled?
YES- Proceed to step 2.
NO- Review other hydraulic related codes and resolve.
2. Verify Coil has power, measure wire 200 of coil, referenced to B−, is 36V present?
a. Measure the voltage on wire 200 of coil, referenced to B− stud, is 36V present?
YES- Coil may be open, proceed to step 3.
NO- Proceed to step 2b.
b. Measure continuity for wire 200 of coil, from valve coil connector to FU4 referenced to B−, is 36V
present?
YES- Coil may be open, proceed to step 3.
NO- Proceed to step 4.
3. Check coil resistance:
a. Measure across the coil of the valve in question, is it between 10 and 50 Ohms?
YES- Coil not at fault proceed to step 4.
NO- Coil shown to be open or shorted internally, replace coil.
4. Check coil wiring:
a. Measure from Pin 24 (CPS41) to PV1 coil connector (Wire 800) for continuity.
YES- Proceed to step 5.
NO- Repair wire, Pin, or crimp (replace harness only if not repairable).
