Why won't my Yamaha EF2400iS start?

If your Yamaha Portable Generator's engine won't start, there are several potential causes. First, ensure that fuel is being supplied to the combustion chamber and that there is fuel in the tank. If there is fuel, check that the fuel cock lever is in the “ON” position. A clogged fuel line or carburetor could also be the issue, so try cleaning them. Also check the engine oil level and add oil if it's insufficient. Make sure the engine switch is set to “ON”. If the spark plug is dirty with carbon or wet, remove the carbon or wipe the spark plug dry. If none of these steps work, the ignition system may be faulty, and you should consult a dealer.
