Starting to play

How to use all the features

Orchestra Section

Select instrument voices and adjust volume. Right-hand selector has priority.

Sustain

Adds lingering effect to notes. Works with all voices except Vibraphone.

Rhythm Section

Select a rhythm by pressing the button. March is default if none selected.

Press SYNCHRO START

Press the SYNCHRO START button to initiate the rhythm.

Auto Bass Chord Section

Obtain chord, bass, and rhythm accompaniment by pressing a single key.

Duet (PS-400)

Adds a harmonizing note to melody notes when used with Auto Bass Chord.

Arpeggio (PS-400)

Adds a rippling effect to accompaniment. Balances volume of Bass, Rhythm, Arpeggio.

Using the TRANSPOSER (PS-400)

Adjusts the PortaSound's pitch up or down by half an octave.

Chord Sequence Memory (PS-400)

Program The Chord Progression

Learn how to input chords and their lengths to create a musical sequence.

Music Playback

Play back memorized chord progressions. Stops automatically when music ends.
