Cleaning the air cleaner element
The air cleaner element filters dirt from the
air entering the carburetor, keeping engine
wear to an absolute minimum. This model
uses a paper type element which provides very
effective filtering action.
1.
Lift the seat and remove the bolt holding
the tank.
2.
Turn the fuel petcock lever to "OFF"
position and disconnect the fuel pipes.
3. Lift the fuel tank, and remove the bolts
holding the cleaner case cover. Pull out
the element.
