Assembling Your Lawn Mower

Disconnect Spark Plug Wire

Disconnect the spark plug wire and ground it against the engine to prevent unintended starting.

Attaching Lower Handle

Lift rear of deck, place on block, align lower handle with deck holes and secure.

Attaching Upper Handle

Place upper handle over lower handle, align holes, secure with carriage bolts, washers, and nuts.

Attaching Brake Cable

Attach free end of brake cable to the upper handle using snap fitting.

Attaching Blade Control Handle

Reattach blade control handle by inserting ends into correct holes on upper handle.

Attaching Z Fitting

Hook the 'Z' end of the brake cable into the blade control handle from inside to outside.

Securing Brake Cable

Secure the brake cable to the lower left handle using a cable tie.

Attaching Wheels

Attach wheels using axle bolts, bell washers, and nuts, ensuring consistent height position.

Attaching Chute Deflector

Align chute deflector holes with deck holes and secure with carriage bolts, washers, and lock nuts.

Attaching Starter Rope

Attach rope guide to upper handle and thread starter rope through guide and handle gap.

Operating Your Lawn Mower

Know Your Lawn Mower

Familiarize yourself with the location of controls and adjustments like throttle and blade control.

Gas and Oil Fill-Up

Service engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the engine manual. Do not fuel indoors or with hot engine.

Before Starting

Attach spark plug wire securely to the spark plug, ensuring metal cap is fastened.

To Start Engine and Engage Blade

Prime engine if needed, depress blade control handle, then pull starter rope to start engine.

To Stop Engine and Blade

Release blade control handle to stop engine and blade. Disconnect spark plug wire for safety.

Using Your Lawn Mower

Never operate without rear deflector or catcher. Clear lawn of debris. Do not cut wet grass.

Making Adjustments

Cutting Height

Adjust cutting height by removing and reattaching axle bolts at different holes on the deck.

Throttle Control

The mower engine has a fixed throttle control that does not require adjustment.

Carburetor

Minor carburetor adjustments may be needed. Refer to engine manual for details.

Maintaining Your Lawn Mower

Deck Care
