What to do if my Yardworks mower engine fails to start?
    • K
      Kyle GriffinAug 10, 2025
If your Yardworks mower engine fails to start, make sure the blade control is engaged. Also, check that the spark plug boot is connected and that the fuel tank has clean, fresh gasoline. If equipped with a primer, prime the engine as instructed. Other potential causes include a faulty spark plug (clean, adjust gap, or replace), a blocked fuel line (clean it), or a flooded engine (wait a few minutes to restart, but do not prime). Ensure the fuel valve is open and the engine is choked if equipped. For electric start models, check and replace the fuse if burnt.

Why does my Yardworks Mowers engine run erratic?
    • J
      Jessica MooneyAug 25, 2025
Why does my Yardworks mower engine run erratically? It could be due to a loose spark plug boot (connect and tighten it), a blocked fuel line or stale fuel (clean the fuel line and refill with fresh gasoline), or a plugged vent in the gas cap (clear the vent). Water or dirt in the fuel system can also cause this issue, so drain the fuel tank and refill with fresh fuel. Finally, ensure the CHOKE is in the “OFF” position if your unit is running with it applied or in the “ON” position.
