Overview

This document is a user manual for the Yoma M2252 Corded Vacuum Cleaner, a bagless vacuum designed for household use.

Function Description

The Yoma M2252 is a corded vacuum cleaner primarily designed for dry cleaning tasks within a household environment. Its main function is to effectively remove dust, dirt, and debris from various surfaces. The vacuum operates with a powerful suction mechanism, aided by a high-efficiency filter system, to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a motor-protective thermostat that automatically shuts off the appliance if it overheats, ensuring safety and preventing damage. The vacuum is designed for ease of use, with features like a retractable tube for adjustable length and a dust container that can be easily detached and emptied. It also offers versatile cleaning options through a range of accessories that can be combined in different ways to suit specific cleaning needs, such as cleaning cars, sofas, curtains, chairs, crevices, corners, keyboards, and dining tables. The cleaner head brush offers two modes: a brushless mode for hard floors (wooden, marble, tile) and a brushed mode for carpets (large low-medium pile carpet). However, due to its powerful suction, it is recommended not to use it on small or thin carpets to avoid them being sucked tightly.

Usage Features

The M2252 vacuum cleaner is designed for straightforward operation. To start, the power plug is inserted into an electrical outlet with the correct voltage. The appliance is turned on and off using a power switch. The cleaner head brush should touch the floor during vacuuming. The retractable tube's length can be adjusted by pressing a locking button and pulling the bottom section to the desired length. The cleaner head brush can switch between two modes: "Press A" extends the nozzle brushes for carpet cleaning, and "Press B" retracts them for hard floor cleaning.

The vacuum comes with several accessories to enhance its versatility:

  • Cleaner Head Brush: The primary cleaning attachment.
  • Retractable Tube: Allows for adjustable reach.
  • Sofa Brush: Recommended for cleaning sofas, cars, curtains, or chairs.
  • 2-in-1 Brush: Suitable for keyboards, curtains, and dining tables.
  • Flexible Hose: Connects with the sofa brush or 2-in-1 brush for cleaning corners in cars or cabinets.
  • Accessories Hook: For convenient storage of accessories.
  • Wall Mount: For storing the main unit.

These accessories can be combined in four ways:

  1. Main body with retractable tube and sofa brush: Suitable for cleaning cars, sofas, curtains, or chairs.
  2. Main body with retractable tube and 2-in-1 brush: Suitable for cleaning crevices, corners, keyboards, or dining tables.
  3. Main body with flexible hose and sofa brush: More flexible for cleaning cars, sofas, curtains, or chairs.
  4. Main body with flexible hose and 2-in-1 brush: More flexible for cleaning crevices, corners, keyboards, or dining tables.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance of the Yoma M2252.

  • Cleaning the Dust Container: The dust container can be detached from the handle part by pressing a release button. To empty, the button cover is opened, and dust, dirt, and debris are expelled into a waste bin. For further cleaning, the container can be washed with water and air-dried completely.
  • Cleaning the Sponge Inlet Filter: The sponge inlet filter, which contributes to suction power, can get blocked by dust, sand, crumbs, or other granular debris. It is recommended to clean the sponge filter regularly with fresh water (no soap or detergents) after use. The filter should be thoroughly air-dried before being reinstalled. The manual suggests exchanging the filter every three months, depending on usage frequency. It is explicitly warned not to use radiators or additional appliances like hair dryers to dry the filter, as this can cause deformation or damage.
  • Checking for Blockages: If suction is weak or the appliance turns off, blockages should be checked in several areas:
    • The intake opening of the dust container (after removing the retractable tube from the machine host).
    • Inside the retractable tube (after removing the cleaner head brush).
    • The floor nozzle (strings, carpet fibers, or hair can be cut and cleared from the groove).
    • The top nozzle of the cleaner head brush.

The manual also provides troubleshooting tips for common issues like the appliance turning off on its own (due to overheating), weak suction (due to a dirty sponge filter, full dust cup, or blockages), the appliance not working (power outlet issues or broken motor), dust falling out from the inner tube or cleaner head brush (full dust container or blockages), and dust coming out of the air outlet (incorrectly installed or damaged sponge inlet filter).

The product comes with a 12-month warranty and lifetime customer support for eligible purchases made directly from authorized Yoma distributors. Warranty coverage applies to the original owner and product and is non-transferable. Warranty claims can be initiated by contacting customer support via email or visiting the Yoma website to fill out a warranty form.
