INSTRUCTIONS
Empty the Dump Tank of the Large Cardboard Parts
Box,
Spare
Tire,
the
Long
Wooden
Blade
Box
and
any
optional
equipment.
Mount the Cutting Blade on the Conditioner
"Use
two
men
to
mount
or
change
the
Blade.
CAUTION.*
The
Blades
are
extremely
sharp.
Handle
with
care.
Lift
the
conditioner
high
enough
offthe
ground
to get
your
handsunderiteasily,then
block
under
the
Conditioner
on
both
side so
It
cannot
fall.
For
a
new
Blade,
usethe
line
of
holes
closest tothe
sharp
edge
of
the
Blade.
After
a
good
deal
of
grinding
down,
you
will
wantto use the rearline of holes.
The
Blade
is
mounted
onthe underside of the
Blade
Hoiaing
Bar.
this
undersiae
is a
macninea
surtace,
therefore,
be
sure
that
the
Blade
Holding
Bar
Is
clean
and
clear
of anyobstruction before mountlna
blade.
Flriyjnbolt
the
Blade
from
its
wooden
scabbard,
yet
teave
the
Blade
in
the
scabbard
and
place
on
the
ground
beneath
the
Conditioner
with
the
sharp
edge
to
the
front.
Seeowdi
Place
a
counter-sunk
bolt
(packed
in
Parts
Box)
through
the
end
holes
onthe
Blade.
With a
man
on
each
endofthe
Blade,
lift
slowly
outofthe
scabbard
and
have
the
bolts
enter
the
end
holes
in
the
Blade
Holding
Bar.
Have
a
lockwasher
and
nut
in
your
free
hand
and
screw
onto
the
counter-sunk
bolt
as
it
comes
through
the
Blade
Holding
Bar.
Put
other
counter-sunk
bolts
In
place
by
reaching
under
the
rear
oftheConditioner withone
hand
and
reaching
over
the
top
with
the
lockwasher
and
nut
in
the
other
hand.
Keep
hands
away
from
the
front
of
the
Blade-It
Is
very
easy
to
get
cut
on
these
knives.

Jlhicd Use
the
socket
ratched
wrench and extension
to
tighten
the
Blade Bolts. Tighten the center
bolts first and
then
tighten
outwards toward
the
end
of
the
Blade.
The
reason for this is
that
the
last
six
inches
on
both
ends
of the
Blade
Holding
Bar are machined up .060" so the end
of
each cut
of
the ice will feather into the
adjoining
ice
surface.
When
the
outside
Blade
Bolts
are
properly
tightened at the last, the
Blade
is
pulled
up
against
the
machined
ends.
•Fourth
Adjust the
Blade
as explained in the Instruction
Booklet.
To
prepare
the
machine
for
resurfacing,
do
the
following:
Unroll
black
Snow
Shield
Flap
mounted
on
back
panel.
Mount
the Towel
Holder
on the rear of the conditioner and
open
cloth.
Check
the
Engine
oil
level.
Check
the
Hydraulic oil
level.
Check
the
fuel
level.
Fill
the
Water
Tanks.
Your
Ice
Resurfacer
is
now
prepared
for
operation.
It
is
not
difficult to
operate
and
practice
will
make
it
easy.
Familiarize yourself well with the
machine
and
follow
the
instructions as outlined in the
Operating
Instructions.
