OPERATING
AND
MAINTAINING
YOUR
ZAMBONI'
ICE
RESURFACER
IMPORTANT
-
The
engine,
drive
train
and
differentials
on
the
Ice
Resur-
facer
are
all
new
components
and
special
care
must
be
given
them
during
their
"break-in"
period.
Service
schedules
for
lubrication
and
preventative
mainte
nance
should
be
established
on a
basis
of hourly, daily,
weekly
and
monthly
measures.
Along
with
the
setting
up
of a
lubrication
and
service
schedule,
it is
advised
that
you
have
the
Ice
Resurfacer
and
its
components
completely
checked
over
periodically
by
a
competent
mechanic.

Study
should
be given to
the
Instruction
Book which is
furnished
with
your Ice Resurfacer. It is
also
recommend
ed
that
the
new
owner
contact
the
local FORD
Service
Center
to
acquaint
himself
with
their
service
policy.
It
would
also
be
beneficial
to
have
a FORD
serviceman
inspect
the
engine and drive
system
so that he
may
become
familiar with
the
operation
for service and
repair.
PARTICULARLY
NOTE
THE
FOLLOWING
REGARDING
THE
ENGINE:
Break-In Prior toshipment from our factory, each engine
is
operated
for several hours at low load. The engine
should be operated at light loads for a period totaling ten
(10)
hours,
before maximum load is applied.
At
the
completion
of
the
Ten
Hour Break-In Period, change the
Engine
OIL
The engine is equipped with a
low
oil pressure warning
light and an alternator warning light mounted on the instru
ment
panel.
Grade of Engine
OH
See Engine Maintenance Section in
the
Manual
Grade of Gasoline Both regular and unleaded can be used.
However, we
strongly
recommend
UNLEADED. When
equipped
with
a
Catalytic
Exhaust Purifer, ONLY
UNLEADED
GASOLINE
is approved.
Your efforts spent in properly maintaining the IceResur
facer and its various components
will
be well repaid by
longer
wear
and
good
service.
