Function Description

The Zanussi washer-dryer is designed for domestic use, offering both washing and drying functionalities. It allows users to select various washing and drying programs based on fabric type, soil level, and desired dryness. The appliance incorporates a recirculation system for optimal detergent use and features a condensation drying principle, requiring the water tap to be open and the drain hose to be positioned correctly during drying cycles.

  • Loading Laundry: Open door by pulling handle, load items one at a time, shaking them out. Ensure no laundry is caught in the door seal.
  • Detergent Dispenser Drawer: Has compartments for prewash/stain remover, main wash detergent (powder or liquid), and liquid additives (fabric softener, starch). Follow manufacturer recommendations and do not exceed "MAX" mark.
  • Automatic Washing and Drying (NON-STOP programme): Recommended load size is 3 kg for cotton and 2 kg for synthetic. Can dry up to 4 kg of cotton items using the Drying Time button. Do not use dosing devices/balls.
  • Drying Hints: Reduce wash loads for better drying performance. Not suitable for delicate items, wool, silk, items with metal inserts, foam-rubber, or items with chemical residues. Use fabric softener to avoid static.

Maintenance Features

  • Descaling: Periodically use water softening powder to prevent lime deposits.
  • External Cleaning: Clean with soap and water, then dry thoroughly.
  • Cleaning the Dispenser Drawer: Remove and flush under a tap to remove accumulated powder. Use a small brush to clean the recess.
  • Cleaning the Pump: Inspect regularly, especially if the appliance doesn't empty/spin or makes unusual noises. Disconnect from mains, ensure water is cold, then open pump door, drain water, unscrew filter, clean, and reassemble.
  • Cleaning Water Inlet Filters: If the appliance doesn't fill or fills slowly, check and clean the filters on both the tap and machine ends of the inlet hose using a stiff brush.
  • Emergency Emptying Out: If the appliance cannot drain, follow steps to manually drain water from the pump, then reactivate the drain system by adding 2 litres of water to the main wash compartment and starting a drain programme.
  • Fluff in Garments: To prevent lint, avoid washing dark fabrics after light-colored ones, air-dry new fabrics, clean the filter, perform rinse cycles between different colored fabric washes, and thoroughly clean the drum, gasket, and door after drying. For excessive fluff, repeat cleaning and perform a drying cycle with a wool rag.
