Installation Guide
This installation guide describes how to remove and replace the VC8300 keypad.
Required Parts
• QWERTY Replacement Keypad Kit, p/n VC83KYBD-QW-SP-01
or
• AZERTY Replacement Keypad Kit, p/n VC83KYBD-AZ-SP-01
• Modular Tool Kit, p/n ST2000.
Removing the Keypad
WARNING: Always disconnect power from the VC8300 before servicing components.
CAUTION: The installation of any component must be performed using the appropriate anti-static devices.
If unavailable, discharge static from your body by touching a grounded metallic object before opening any
covers on the device.
1. Press the power button until the menu appears.
2. Touch Power off.
3. Disconnect power from the VC8300.
4. Place the VC8300 on the anti-static mat.
5. Place ESD Wrist strap on your wrist and connect to anti-static mat.
6. Using the Torx T10 screwdriver, remove the 10 screws securing the keypad bezel. Retain the screws
for replacement.

7. Peel the keypad off the keyboard circuit board.
